An Amazing trek of Himachal (Kullu)
The spectacular Himalayan Mountain range Chandrakhani Pass is a 3600-meter-high mountain pass that serves as a crossing point between the Kullu Valley and the Parvati Valley. From the past, there are fascinating views of the Pir Panjal chain.
Tall snow-capped mountains in the distance as you hike through lush green meadows. The Chandrakhani Pass Trek is unique from the other treks in the area due to its proximity to human settlements.
One of the most popular treks in the Indian Himalayan region of Himachal Pradesh, the Chandrakhani Pass trek includes a mesmerizing route with stunning views of the Deo Tibba and Pin Parvati ranges.
The journey covers the sights of the Kullu Valley and passes through a rich forest that is home to various species of animals and birds. The path, which leads through small bubbling streams and goes over narrow ridges, makes it more adventurous and strenuous.
The Chandrakhani Pass Trek, which extends from an altitude of 2,050 meters to 3,660 meters, although it is one of the medium and low altitude treks in Himachal Pradesh, requires the trekker to acclimatize to the prevailing conditions.
The journey also brings to mind a strange Hindu myth. The legend dates back to a time when Jamlu (the ruling deity Malana) carried a basket of Kullu gods.
When he opened the basket at the top of the pass, a very strong wind carried the gods across the Kullu Valley to their present abodes, where people can find them today in their respective temples. Since then, the valley has been known as the Valley of the Gods.
The village of Malana is a strong reflection of the culture itself, where the old traditions are still alive
