How To Draw St. Patrick’s Day. Saint Patrick’s Day is an important holiday celebrated around the world. Dedicated to Saint Patrick, it also celebrates traditional Irish culture. On this day, during celebrations, the colour green will usually be very present, and images such as clovers and leprechauns will also be common. We’ll focus on the latter during this guide on how to draw St. Patrick’s Day because you’ll be drawing a cute leprechaun, and there could also be clovers in the mix!
This will be a great way to get into the holiday spirit no matter the time of year! So we hope you enjoy this step-by-step guide on how to draw St. Patrick’s Day in just 6 easy steps! You can draw many more characters like easy batman drawing, Anubis drawing, cat drawing, cobra drawing, blueberry drawing, coconut drawing and many more drawing for kids.
Step 1:
In this guide to drawing St. Patrick’s Day, we’ll draw a fairly classic cartoon rendition of a leprechaun. You can start the process by using a curved line to create the bottom of the face. Then add some jagged lines on the side of the face for the start of your fluffy beard. You can also draw pointy pixie ears sticking out of the hair. Finally, for this step, we’ll draw his top hat. This will have a waistband at the base on edge, and the top will be drawn with curved lines. You are then ready for step 2 of the guide!

Step 2:
For this second step of his St. Patrick’s Day drawing, we will add the rest of his beard, starting with his clothes. To draw his beard, extend the jagged lines you drew for his sideburns and draw the beard around the lower part of his face. Once that’s drawn, we can start drawing his jacket and vest. You can add a few small rounded shapes under your face for your bow tie. Then use more curved lines to recreate the vest and jacket as they appear in our reference image. Once you’ve drawn these clothes, you’re ready to move on to step 3.
Step 3:
You can start drawing facial features with the leprechaun’s arms in this step of our St. Patrick’s Day drawing guide. Your eyes will be drawn as two small circles with even smaller circles inside for the pupils. Then his nose and mouth will be drawn with curved and rounded lines to give him a happy expression. Next, use smooth, fairly straight lines for the arms of your jackets that extend outward. You can finish this step by drawing a hand at the end of each, then add another clover to the left hand!
Step 4:
This St. Patrick’s Day drawing already looks good! He’s only missing a few legs for dancing, so we’ll add them in this step and the next. For now, we’ll add the legs for his belt and pants. For the belt, you can draw a rectangular shape for the buckle and then use straight lines for the strap. Next, we’ll finish this step using more curved lines for her legs. The legs will be extended at an angle to look like you are making a jig. Then carry on to the final points in the next stage!
Step 5:
You are now ready to complete the finishing touches of this fifth step of our guide to drawing St. Patrick’s Day. First, use serial lines to draw his tights from the base of his pants. You can also add striped details to them. Then we will finish drawing old-fashioned shoes on their feet, and on top, they will have square shapes like a buckle.
Once the sprite is finished, it’s up to you to add a few final details! You can draw a background with more St. Patrick’s Day iconography to complete the theme or recreate your favourite St. Patrick’s Day celebration you attended. These are just a few ideas, but how would you like to finish this drawing?
Step 6:
We’ll finish with some colour for the final step of your St. Patrick’s Day drawing! This would only be a good St. Patrick’s Day design with lots of green, so naturally, we’ve made that the main colour palette in our sample image. There are also yellow and brown tones to break it up, as shown in the picture. You can change the tones or use cool art media while colouring your drawing. Different art mediums can be useful depending on the brightness of the colours you want, so have fun experimenting
