You really don’t feel like going to school this morning, better pretend you’re sick. But how to fake a fever to convince parents?
You have spent months preparing for a university exam, the university exam session is in full swing and, after booking your umpteenth exam online, you have really realized that it is not the right day to attend the roll call. After investing days writing a clear summary of the texts you were studying, you just don’t feel ready.

Here is a series of curious ways for how to give yourself a fever that are found on the net to increase body temperature, some are a bit bizarre, others seem a bit dangerous.
How to get a fever
Ice under the pillow
The first tip for pretending to be sick and getting a fever is to use ice: just put a few ice cubes under your pillow before going to sleep, naturally protected inside a plastic bag.
The next morning we will wake up with a not too high, but still important, fever around thirty-eight degrees.
Use toothpaste
An alternative to ice is toothpaste. Instead of using it to always have fresh breath, in this case we will need it to pretend to be sick.
We squeeze the toothpaste from the tube, and spread it on the lips; then, we hold the breath as long as we can (at least 20 to 30 seconds).
This operation must be repeated as many times as possible within ten minutes: after a few hours, we will notice that the body temperature will have exceeded thirty-seven and a half degrees.

Put the thermometer near the thermo
During the winter, the heaters are always on in the morning and in the afternoon. In this case the advice is to take the thermometer and keep it in contact with the radiator.
In this way, due to the conduction, the thermo will raise the temperature detected by the thermometer. We try to keep the temperature around 37.5/38 degrees centigrade.
Luckily it was not possible to build a fireplace in your house, otherwise it would have been a mess.
Rub the thermometer on the suit
This system is perhaps the best one to use. If you are at home, we are almost sure that your outfit, unlike that of the autumn/winter supreme collection, will be casual.
Take the thermometer and slowly start rubbing it on your sweatpants or jeans. After a few seconds you will begin to see the temperature rise.
At this point, as previously advised, try not to overdo the temperature.
Bar of soap under the armpit
Naturally, it is possible to believe you have to fake a fever even when it is not true, simply by raising the temperature detected by the thermometer: it will be sufficient to hold a bar of soap under the armpit for ten minutes, and then proceed to measure the temperature.
We will notice that the body temperature exceeds thirty-eight degrees; the reason is obvious: by irritating the skin, the bar of soap causes a rise in the temperature of that area of the body.
Thermometer near the light bulb
An even simpler alternative, on the other hand, consists in holding the thermometer close to a lighted (warm) light bulb for a few minutes.
Warnings:
Pretending to be sick is never an advisable procedure. We therefore advise against taking medicines or syrups just to increase the level of fiction.
